Lauren Szot, M.S., CCC-SLP
Speech-Language Pathologist
Owner
​
Lauren attained her masters in Speech-Language Pathology from Texas Tech Health Sciences Center. She has experience working in medical, educational, and outpatient settings with clients aging from birth - 90 years. Lauren has sought out extensive trainings and research in myofunctional therapy, and is passionate in helping families find root causes for speech, swallowing, and sleep disturbances. Lauren is the mother of two, and has traveled the therapy road with her own children for swallowing and myofunctional services. Lauren started Tall City Speech in 2017 with the desire to specialize treatment to fit the needs of both client and family.

Kelsey Haines, M.S., CCC-SLP
Speech-Language Pathologist
​
Kelsey is a Fort Worth native and holds a bachelor's and master's degree from Texas State University. After living in New Braunfels, she moved to Midland with her husband. With a passion for helping children, Kelsey has extensive experience in pediatric speech therapy within schools and home health settings. Outside of her professional life, she enjoys staying active, reading, and exploring new places with her husband.


Lindsey Palmer, M.S., CCC-SLP
Speech-Language Pathologist

Lindsey is a Midland local and earned her master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from Baylor University. She has experience in private practice, school, pediatric outpatient and in-patient rehab settings.
She enjoys working with children with orofacial myofunctional disorders. Outside of work, Lindsey enjoys spending time at the lake, playing golf with her husband, and is loving life as a new mom.


Kendra Smallwood, M.Ed, CCC-SLP
Speech-Language Pathologist

Kendra moved to Midland after growing up and moving all across the Midwest. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a neuropsychology focus from Luther College and completed her post-baccalaureate and masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology at the University of Nebraska-Kearney. She has experience in private practice, school, and in-patient and outpatient rehab settings.
She is passionate about helping children find connection to their world and others through communication. Kendra enjoys spending time on her yoga mat, walking her dog, being a fan of all things sports and music, exploring nature, reading, and being an Auntie.

Aliyah Maag, M.A., CF-SLP
Speech-Language Pathologist

Aliyah Maag grew up in the Fort Worth area and is proud to be both an Aggie and a Sooner, earning her undergraduate degree from Texas A&M University and her master’s in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Oklahoma. She has experience in a variety of settings, including pediatric private practice, schools, adult outpatient, and hospital care, with experience supporting infants in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). Aliyah loves getting to know the families she works with and celebrating every win, big or small.
Aliyah and her husband, Jake, are newly married and recently moved to Midland to begin their life together. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with family, exploring new places, and wandering the aisles of HomeGoods.

Ashlyn Meurer
Administration Assistant

Ashlyn was born and raised in Midland and received her Bachelor's in Biology from Angelo State University. A previous Kindergarten teacher, she loves working with and being around children. When not at Tall City Speech, Ashlyn enjoys spending time with her husband, family, friends, and her dogs. She also loves coaching and taking classes at Orangetheory Fitness in Midland.
